As Head of the RRC Library at the Round Rock Campus, I oversee all operations at this satellite location of Alkek Library. This includes reference assistance (physical and virtual), circulation services, library instruction sessions, and layout of our facilities. I strive to bring the best service and services to students, faculty, and staff at this location. I welcome comments to help us work towards this goal.
I began employment at Texas State University in 2005 but have been a librarian long before; well not that long. I have found this institution to be a wonderful place to support and educate students in their journey for lifelong learning. Information literacy is important to me as a librarian and I am joyful when I am able to pass on these skills.
In addition to managing the RRC Library some of my ongoing duties include reference/research assistance (in person and via telephone, e-mail, and chat), circulation functions, library instruction, and maintaining the RRC Library Web site. I think being a librarian is the best job in the world.
